Rising to the Challenge: Diona's Swift Action at Lake Cargelligo

Diona’s NSW team have recently finished emergency works at Lake Cargelligo for WaterNSW. During unprecedented rain events in late 2022, Diona was deployed to Lake Cargelligo to reinforce the dam banks to protect them from any potential breach. Working against the weather which brought several additional challenges, the Diona, WaterNSW and Doolees teams worked around the clock to secure Lake Cargelligo, and ensure the lower lying communities were safe from further inundation.
This is a great example of Diona’s ability to remain agile to meet changing site conditions and respond to the needs of our clients. The crew will now deploy to Lake Brewster to carry out emergency works, before returning back to Lake Cargelligo to undertake embankment upgrades.
