ESG Alignment

This project shows our commitment to environmental sustainability through the transformation of urban stormwater channels into greener, more ecological spaces. Key environmental initiatives include the conversion of concrete channels into terraced sandstone block embankments and extensive native planting. These efforts significantly boost local biodiversity, enhance the ecological health of urban areas, and contribute to sustainable urban development.

The social impact of the project is shown through its enhancement of community well-being. By creating vibrant, functional community spaces with accessible footpaths, the project promotes inclusivity and improves the quality of life for residents. It fosters a stronger connection between the community and their natural surroundings, encouraging active participation in maintaining and enjoying these revitalised spaces. Additionally, the project’s high satisfaction ratings and lack of complaints reflect its positive reception and impact on the local community.

Exciting News: finalist in this year’s CCF NSW Earth Awards

We are thrilled to announce that our New South Wales team is a finalist in this year’s CCF NSW Earth Awards for their transformative work on Hunter Water’s Stormwater Amenity Improvement Program.

This project is a prime example of how we live our mission – ‘Enabling communities to thrive’ – through the delivery of essential community infrastructure. In partnership with Hunter Water, we have revitalised urban stormwater channels in Jesmond, Mayfield, and Cardiff, transforming them into vibrant, green spaces that enhance community well-being and ecological health.

Key highlights of this project include the conversion of concrete channels into terraced sandstone block embankments, extensive native planting to boost local biodiversity, and the creation of functional community spaces with accessible footpaths. These initiatives not only enhance the area but also support local biodiversity, fostering a stronger connection between the community and their natural surroundings.

We are proud of our team’s dedication to excellence and innovation, which has been recognised with zero complaints and outstanding feedback from the community, including a 92% satisfaction rating for our project communications.

Join us in celebrating this achievement and stay tuned for more updates from the awards night on Friday, 14 June at The Star Event Centre!
