Celebrating Pride Across Diona!

This Pride Month, our Brisbane office kicked off the celebrations with a vibrant Dress & Paint with Pride Day. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm and creativity as everyone expressed their support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Event Highlights

Participants created personal art pieces, later combined into a meaningful mosaic symbolising our collective creativity and diversity. The event concluded with a fun-filled Pride Bingo session, with everyone engaging in the festivities and winning some colourful ‘Taste the Rainbow’ prizes.

Congratulations to our painting winners:

  • Graeme Hall with “Abstract Pride” – reminding us that Pride comes in all different shapes and sizes.
  • Jesse Ottaway captured the essence of inclusivity with a painting of the non-binary flag amidst a storm.
  • Kingsley An’s “Pride Power” and Priya Sripathi’s “Love Heart Hands” further highlighted the day’s theme of love and empowerment.

Special thanks to Lynda Mendoza and Rachael Hillis for their support in making the event a success. Rachael delivered an insightful speech on the importance of creating safe, inclusive spaces at work and the need for ongoing education on inclusive language. This event is just the start. We’re excited to host similar celebrations across our major hubs throughout June, promoting the importance of Pride Month and aligning with our ESG goal to enhance workforce diversity and inclusivity.
