Community and Stakeholder Centric Approach
Everything we do at Diona is ultimately helping to build better, more sustainable communities for future generations. We are committed to meaningful and participative community engagement to ensure we leave a positive legacy in the communities in which we operate.

In close coordination with our clients and community stakeholders we actively work to minimise the impact of each project. At Diona we believe there is no such thing as over communication. Communication and transparency is an absolute priority. That ‘little bit extra’ offered by our experienced community consultation teams makes all the difference. Through a range of consultation methods, the community is kept informed and given the opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions. And if there are concerns raised, we address them up-front and promptly.
A customer centric mindset
The success of our stakeholder and community liaison is founded on a strategic approach, requiring detailed planning, and understanding of the stakeholders and communities in areas we will be working. Through this understanding, we strive to develop and maintain key relationships and engagement with our stakeholders in an informative and meaningful manner.
Key to our values, we are committed to:
- Being open and honest.
- Acting in a responsible and transparent manner.
- Providing accurate and timely information.
- Listening to and responding to the opinions all stakeholders.
- Maintaining a two-way dialogue with stakeholders when decision making.
Our Difference
Our in-house community and stakeholder engagement team work closely with the design and project management teams during the detailed design and construction phases. They bring a sound understanding of construction methodology which allows for the early detection and mitigation of avoidable community impacts. This knowledge also allows our team to accurately discuss our work with the community to ensure there are no surprises.
Specialising in construction, mining and renewables, the Diona Community Engagement team difference includes:
- We take the time to know our communities
- We understand construction impacts can cause concerns
- We work directly with our teams on the ground
- We approach each challenge with a solutions focus
- We provide each stakeholder the same level of respect and time
