About Diona

John and Margaret O’Connor founded Diona in 1980. Since then the company has grown to become one of the most respected civil engineering companies on the east coast of Australia.

Our specialty is technically complex urban projects. We have a proven track record of developing equipment and innovating solutions to meet challenging client requirements.

Our services include all aspects of trenching, boring and drilling, and pipeline installation for water, drainage and sewer installations, and gas and electricity infrastructure.

We're accredited service providers to Energy Australia, Energex, Transgrid, Sydney Water, Brisbane Water, APA, Jemena and Telstra, as well as many other asset owners. We’ve also worked on many projects for local councils in the greater Brisbane and Sydney regions.

Our workforce is well trained in occupational health, safety and environmental management. We ensure all personnel have the necessary qualifications to comply with WorkCover regulations governing specialised activities such as working in confined spaces, welding, and plant operation.

Diona’s commitment to training saw us establish our own RTO (registered training organisation) in 2008 to better develop and deliver specialised training to our people and the infrastructure industry in general.
